Disneyland Paris continues to take concrete actions to reduce its carbon footprint. After opening Europe's largest solar panel installation in 2023, the resort is now announcing the installation of a thermo-cooling machine. This machine will be able to provide both heating and cooling, leading to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
The thermal refrigerating machine is expected to reduce natural gas consumption by 14% and heating requirements by 10%. It will also reduce water consumption by about 30,000 cubic metres. This saved water will be used to maintain green areas and clean paths.
This new measure is part of a broader strategy that sees Disneyland Paris focusing on energy savings, optimisation of existing facilities, electrification and large-scale renewable energy projects. In 2020, the resort already opened Europe's largest solar panel installation, producing 36 GWh/year of energy annually.
Disneyland Paris is showing itself to be a responsible tourism player, actively contributing to a more sustainable future.
