Disney Sequoia Lodge gets large-scale makeover

Good news for those who love to linger on the shores of Lake Disney! The iconic Disney Sequoia Lodge awaits an ambitious transformation, set to begin in 2026.

Following the recent reopenings of Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel and the completely renovated Disneyland Hotel, Disneyland Paris is now announcing a large-scale makeover for this hotel with its 1,010 rooms.

The Disney Sequoia Lodge, inspired by the lodges in US National Parks and set in a natural setting full of pine trees and redwoods, will become a unique destination after the renovation that focuses on the beauty of nature and the forest animals from the Disney animated films.

Large-scale renovation

Major work will take place from 2026 to enhance and enrich the experience at the Disney Sequoia Lodge. The authentic and warm wooden atmosphere that guests have cherished since 1992 will be retained, but the layout of the interior spaces will be overhauled from floor to ceiling. This will result in a fresh, more modern look with more light. The new design brings an even greater ode to nature, inspired by the forests, in the tradition of Walt Disney and his animation team. Every space, from the rooms to the lobby to the dining and shopping areas, is redesigned as a tribute to the flora and fauna, a perfect environment for relaxing.

Wider theme with many Disney Characters

A key aspect of the transformation is the theming around the landscape and forest animals. Where currently subtle references to Bambi can be found in the rooms, this will evolve into a broader theme embracing many Disney Figures from both classic and more recent forest films. These figures will be creatively and thoughtfully integrated into the hotel's various experiences. Respect for nature and sustainability also play a role, with careful selection of building materials to minimise environmental impact.

The hotel will remain open during the phased renovation work, which will begin in 2026.
