Adventure Way guide: attractions, entertainment & tips

When you walk past The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney Adventure World, a completely new world opens up. Today, you step directly onto Adventure Way, the green, expansive boardwalk that takes visitors to the shores of Adventure Bay and the magical World of Frozen.

During the opening days, Lander and I spent hours walking around this new boulevard. In this guide, we take you through all the attractions, shops, Disney Figures and entertainment you can discover on Adventure Way.

Atmosphere and surroundings: a breath of fresh air

The very first thing you notice when you enter Adventure Way is how much breathing space the park has been given. Disneyland Paris has done a fantastic job with the landscaping here. The boardwalk is full of trees and large planters. As you walk towards the water, the impressive rockwork surrounding Adventure Bay looms large.

Plenty of rest areas have also finally been thought of. Along the waterfront of Adventure Bay, you will find numerous benches where you can catch your breath, enjoying the impressive view of the lake and Arendelle Castle in the distance.

Attractions on Adventure Way

Although the promenade primarily serves as the park's connecting route, you'll also find your fair share of action and attractions here.

Raiponce Tangled Spin

As soon as you walk up Adventure Way, your eye almost immediately catches sight of Raiponce Tangled Spin. This charming teacup-style attraction is fully themed after the film Rapunzel (Tangled). The wooden boats spin merrily as you enjoy the music. It is a relatively short ride, but the finish is beautiful. Our tip: definitely try this attraction in the evening! Once the sun goes down, the dozens of iconic lanterns in the attraction's ceiling light up, creating an incredibly magical atmosphere.

Future: the new ‘Up’ attraction

Disney is not sitting still. Exactly opposite Raiponce Tangled Spin, you can currently see the construction fences already in place. Judging by the beautiful concept arts that have now been unveiled, we know that behind the scenes they are busy building a brand new family attraction here around the Pixar film Up.

Via the boardwalk, by the way, you can also easily walk on to Marvel Avengers Campus and Toy Story Playland (part of Worlds of Pixar), which seamlessly connect to this new area via side roads. A little further on, there is also a connection to Cars Road Trip.

Entertainment and meetings

Adventure Way is not just another hiking trail; it feels like a lively promenade. What struck us immensely during our days in the park is how much energy there is in this area. This is mainly due to the clever use of entertainment.

You can regularly hear the cheerful notes of the Disney Marching Band echoing across the promenade. They play well-known Disney classics and create a relaxed atmosphere. In between, you run the risk of being surprised by street performers, mimes and jugglers.

In addition, Disneyland Paris is betting on ‘roaming characters’ here. These are Disney Characters who walk around freely instead of being in one fixed photo location. As we walked towards World of Frozen, we spontaneously came across Disney Figures like Alice, The Mad Hatter, Peter Pan and Wendy. It makes for very spontaneous and fun interactions!

Mickey Mouse at the West Pavilion

Still, would you prefer a structured Meet & Greet? Then the West Pavilion is the place to be. This beautiful pavilion is located at the level of La Terrasse Panoramique. Here you can have your picture taken daily with the big boss himself: Mickey Mouse.

What makes this photo location extra special is that Mickey is wearing a brand new, exclusive Adventure Way outfit here. We immediately queued up for a photo in the sunshine on opening day, and it is an absolute must for your photo collection.

Shops and facilities

Of course, you can also visit Adventure Way for some souvenirs. Near the passage to Cars Road Trip, you will find a shopping kiosk. During the preview days, this is where Disney Adventure World's collection was sold, but now this has become the regular place to buy Cars merchandise.

In addition, a kiosk can also be found at the Rapunzel attraction, and there is one next to The Regal View Restaurant where they are now selling the coveted Disney Adventure World collection. These new outlets are nicely in line with the other kiosks Disneyland Paris has recently built, such as the kiosk at Crush's Coaster, at the exit of World Premiere, and the recently converted covered terrace to the right of The Tower of Terror.

Practical tip: Looking for toilets or need cash? At the building of Café Luminosity there is a toilet block as well as an ATM. Another toilet block is provided opposite Cars Road Trip and further on next to the Nordic Crown Tavern.

Food and drink

During your exploration, you are guaranteed to get hungry. Disneyland Paris has placed several food points along the walking route. Just opposite the Rapunzel attraction, you will find Café Luminosity, where you can go for generously filled hot dogs.

If you walk further next to Adventure Bay, the other food points line up nicely together. Here you will find successively Chez Toulouse, Chez Berlioz and Chez Marie, where you can go for tasty brioche sandwiches, savoury potato biscuits and delicious Craquelin chou pastries with ice cream, respectively. A little further on, La Terrasse Panoramique Rounding off this list, the perfect stop for warm bread bowls.

Besides quick snacks, you will also find the new park's premium dining location at Adventure Way: The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge. Located right on the edge of the lake, this stunning table-service restaurant offers spectacular views of World of Frozen through its huge windows. Here, you can not only relax with an exclusive cocktail in the lounge (the very first in the parks!), but also enjoy a high-quality three-course dinner in the company of Disney Princesses. The beating heart of the park

Adventure Way is much more than just the road to Arendelle. It has become the beating, green heart of the revamped park. During your next trip, really take the time to sit on a bench here, enjoy the music of the Disney Marching Band and simply soak up the atmosphere!
