The word is out. After years of speculation, construction work and concept art, Disneyland Paris has finally confirmed the date every fan has been waiting for. Get out your diaries, because on 29 March 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park will change forever.
It is a date that will go down in the resort's history books. On 29 March 2026 not only open the gates of the long-awaited World of Frozen, but the new name of the second park will also be officially adopted: Disney Adventure World.
A 90 per cent transformation
The name change is more than just a new logo on the entrance gate. According to Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, this date marks the moment that more than 90% of the park has been renovated since 2002. The park is almost doubling in size and saying goodbye to the “studio” theme to make way for immersive worlds.
From that day onwards, you will enter via the World Premiere Plaza (the new entrance) a completely renovated park with three main pillars: Worlds of Pixar, Marvel Avengers Campus and the brand new World of Frozen.

What can we expect on opening day?
The expansion opening on 29 March is enormous. In addition to the Frozen area, the following will also open on the same day:
- Adventure Way: A new central promenade with gardens and attractions.
- Adventure Bay: The enormous 7.5-hectare lake that forms the heart of the park.
- Disney Cascade of Lights: A brand new evening show on the lake with drones and fountains.
- Rapunzel Tangled Spin: A new family attraction based on Rapunzel.
Future plans: The Lion King and Up
Although the focus is now on March 2026, Disney has also confirmed that the story will continue beyond that date. Construction has commenced on a themed area around The Lion King, including a whitewater course. There will also be an attraction based on Pixar's Up to Adventure Way.

The transformation of Studios Park into Disney Adventure World is the most ambitious project in the history of Disneyland Paris. On 29 March 2026, we will finally be able to walk through the gates of Arendelle ourselves.
