Disney+ has released the new trailer and poster for “Inside Out 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to the popular 2015 Pixar film. The film, available in theaters from June 19, 2024, takes us back into the mind of teenager Riley, where we are introduced to a brand new cast of emotive characters.
A teenage puberty full of emotions
In “Inside Out 2,” Riley finds herself in the turbulent period of the teenage years. Her familiar emotions Pleasure, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust are faced with a newcomer: Uncertainty. This chaotic and energetic emotion causes Riley to be constantly prepared for the worst.
New emotions in the spotlight
But Uncertainty is not the only newcomer. We are also introduced to Jealousy, Ennui and Shyness. These emotions each bring their own unique perspective to the teenage years, with all the associated ups and downs.
Cast
The original voice cast of “Inside Out” returns, featuring Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Tony Hale and Liza Lapira. Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Paul Walter Hauser join them as the new emotions.
Directing
'Inside Out 2' is directed by Kelsey Mann in her directorial debut. Mark Nielsen is producing the film, with Andrea Datzman as composer.
