Disneyland Paris has unveiled an ambitious plan to protect visitors from changing weather conditions.
Ever since 1992, the resort has been investing in a unique Disney experience adapted to the Parisian climate. Indeed, that's when Disneyland Park introduced the famous covered arcades on Main Street, U.S.A. The Imagineers have been working closely with Disneyland Paris teams to seamlessly integrate these new structures into the resort's landscape.
Recently, the park opened the revamped Pizzeria Bella Notte, which in addition to a new theming - guests there are now immersed in the world of Disney and Pixar's Luca - also received a covered terrace. Casa de Coco - Restaurante de Familia, the former Fuente Del Oro Restaurante, also already underwent a similar transformation. Here guests can now enjoy delicious Tex Mex dishes in different rooms or on the new covered terrace.
Soon, Casey's Corner could also be added to this list The restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A. is in fact getting a new covered terrace in true Victorian style. Stéphane Poulain, architect at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, explains, "We wanted to extend the history of the restaurant with new references to the sport celebrated here, baseball. With this architecture, we wanted to intentionally reduce the scale so that the existing facades of Main Street remain clearly visible, while still giving personality to this new structure." In addition, the park also plans to add an elegant kiosk to the nearby character meeting area.

The Walt Disney Studios Park will also see some changes as part of this project. For example, the queue at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will be redesigned to better accommodate adventurous visitors who want to explore this mysterious place.
And that's not all: several long-term projects, including a redesign of the queue at Peter Pan's Flight, are currently in the design phase. These will be implemented over the next few years.
"We are constantly rethinking our visitor experience and seeking concrete solutions to enhance the magic of our parks," explains Robin Reardon, Director of Creative Development. "This investment program, which combines storytelling, immersion and comfort, perfectly reflects our commitment within the Design & Show Quality team."
