With the arrival of Disney Adventure World, Disneyland Paris has committed not only to new attractions and themed areas, but also to a solid upgrade of its restaurant offerings. The absolute jewel in the crown is The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. Located right on the edge of Adventure Bay, this stunning table-service restaurant promises a premium three-course meal in the company of Disney Princesses.
During the opening days, Lander and I got to test this out extensively. We took a seat in the stylish lounge and slid in for a sumptuous dinner. Is this luxurious dining experience worth its money and time? In this honest review, we share our complete experience!

The Lounge: relax with a cocktail
What makes The Regal View unique is that it is the very first bar/lounge located ín one of the Disneyland Paris parks. You don't necessarily have to dine here; you can also just walk in for a drink and a bite to eat.
Although we were told at the entrance that the waiting time was about half an hour, we were allowed in after only 15 minutes. The atmosphere in the lounge is incredibly warm and cosy, with spectacular views over Adventure Bay and World of Frozen. As far as we are concerned, this is instantly the nicest and warmest bar in the entire resort, so we returned here no less than twice during our trip!

Cocktails and premium snacks
During our two visits to the lounge, we ordered several signature cocktails. Lander went for the Princely Eden (a delicious mix of white rum, pear, passion fruit, kombucha and a hint of green apple). I myself chose the Sereni'Fizz Highness (with tequila, grapefruit, ginger and elderflower) and during our second visit the Apple of Grace (with Double Jus liqueur, apple-cinnamon infusion and maple syrup). All cocktails drank away surprisingly smoothly and were deliciously flavoured.
Since we were hungry after a busy park day, we also tested several “Savoury Delights” (premium snacks). Highly recommended is the warm brioche toast with avocado, egg, red onion and tomato. The trio of savoury biscuits (with mozzarella/basil, chorizo and emmental/bacon) was also hugely appreciated. On our second visit, we were surprised by the Mosaic Sandwich (with smoked salmon, fish rillettes and wasabi cream) and the oven-roasted potatoes with aromatic herbs, topped off with Brie de Meaux espuma and crispy onions. Everything was done to perfection and immensely flavoursome. Perfect for taking a break!

The restaurant: royal details
When it's time for your dinner reservation, a Cast Member will personally escort you to your table. As you walk towards it, you pass an atmospheric corridor full of portraits of Disney Princesses and two beautifully themed vases. It's a nice build-up to the dining room itself. Inside the restaurant, you will find large, detailed murals. Thanks to the impressively high ceilings, when you stand there the restaurant looks even more imposing and peaceful in reality than we saw in photos beforehand. We were escorted to our table, where we were given a lovely spot near the high windows. From here, we had a fantastic view of Adventure Bay and World of Frozen!

The three-course dinner
Whereas at the snacks at Adventure Way we sometimes found the portions a bit on the small side, here you get portions in the familiar size you are used to from Disneyland Paris. The food is of a high standard and packed with flavour. As a nice surprise beforehand, we were served a fresh, tasty amuse-bouche-something not mentioned anywhere on the menu! With that, we both drank the delicious Orchard Whisper cocktail.
For starters, Lander chose the Swiss Salad, while I thoroughly enjoyed the Bluefin Tuna Tataki. For the main course, Lander went for the Roast Guinea fowl, and my choice was the Gilthead seabream. The courses followed in quick succession. The desserts did not disappoint either: Landers Vanilla Ganache Mousse Cake was delicious, and with my Marc de Champagne Frozen Soufflé, the promised alcohol was absolutely (and tastefully!) present. As a finale, we were served another delicious macaron, after which we finished our dinner at leisure with a cup of coffee.

Encounters with the Disney Princesses
An absolute highlight of this restaurant is, of course, meeting the Disney Princesses. You get to see no less than four princesses here during your dinner. What makes this location so unique compared to the other restaurants and Meet & Greets at the resort is that the princesses here appear in their special, unique ‘adventurer’ outfits! We were lucky enough to meet Belle, Aurora, Merida and Ariel. They were great interactions, as they really take extensive time for a chat and photos.
We did notice that, in terms of timing, the restaurant is still struggling with some start-up jitters. The start was quite chaotic: we had not yet sat down properly, we had not even been able to look at our menu, and the first two princesses were already at our table. Afterwards, we did manage to study the menu at our leisure. However, where the first two princesses came by far too quickly, the last two princesses then took a tremendously long time.

Is The Regal View worth its price?
Is the food and this luxurious experience worth its money? As far as we are concerned, absolutely! Of course, you pay a little more at this restaurant because you get to have your picture taken extensively with the Disney Princesses in their unique outfits. It was a bit chaotic at the start of our dinner due to the timing of the princesses, which was actually the only downside of the evening for us (because the meetings themselves were very fun and enjoyable!).
The combination of the stunning location, interactions with the princesses, delicious food and breathtaking views makes for a total experience you absolutely must have experienced. Both the lounge for a premium cocktail, and the restaurant for a unique dinner, are a fantastic addition to Disneyland Paris!
