During Destination D23, the official meeting of the Disney Fan Club in Florida, Disneyland Paris released more details about two ongoing projects: the royal transformation of the Disneyland Hotel and the expansion of the Walt Disney Studios Park.
Royal transformation of Disneyland Hotel
Unveiling its interior for the first time, the Disneyland Hotel, located at the entrance to Disneyland Park, will reopen in the first quarter of 2024 after a complete royal transformation. Thomas Muller, set designer for Walt Disney Imagineering, takes us inside the construction site of what will be the ultimate royal Disney address. The majestic lobby and the elegant Rotunda pass in review. The tour also offers a first look at The Royal Banquet, where guests are invited to a royal feast amid a gallery of paintings by numerous Disney royal families, including famous chefs such as Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove or Chef Louis from The Little Mermaid!
Upon reopening, the Disneyland Hotel will become the first Disney hotel to invite guests to celebrate Disney royalty in all its diversity, part of a majestic journey through time and the stories that make Disney so successful. Keep an eye out Sept. 12 for more updates on the Disneyland Hotel!
Frozen expansion
Another major project taking more shape every day at Walt Disney Studios Park is the future area inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios' Frozen, located on the edge of a large central lake. Beyond the cranes and construction equipment deployed for this development, the kingdom of Arendelle is clearly beginning to take shape. On one side of the lake, work has begun on the rock structures, and construction has also begun on the Art Nouveau-style table service restaurant, as seen in this video.
The Disneyland Hotel and the Frozen expansion represent only part of the overall transformation Disneyland Paris is currently undergoing.
New experiences will soon be offered at the theme parks: Ahsoka will be part of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, starting next spring, and Asha, the heroine of Walt Disney Animation Studios' upcoming film Wish, will also soon be coming to Disneyland Paris. And with Disney Village set to completely reinvent itself in the coming years, in addition to new shows being introduced in 2024, not to mention the unprecedented expansion of the Walt Disney Studios Park, Walt Disney's philosophy resonates more than ever with: "We've only just begun!".
