Disneyland Paris announced big news today at the D23 event in Anaheim: an all-new themed area around the world-famous film 'The Lion King'. This will be the first attraction and immersive environment around this Disney classic within a Disney park in the world.
The new themed area takes visitors on an adventurous journey through the African savannah. Visitors can come face to face with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa and other iconic characters from the film. A new water attraction brings Simba's story to life, with visitors passing under the impressive Pride Rock and following the young lion's adventure.
Besides the attraction, the new area also offers shops, restaurants and meeting places with the Disney characters. It will be a unique experience for both young and old.
Construction of the new The Lion King themed area will start next year, an opening date has not been announced at this time.
