Disney Village: update transformation and new concept art revealed!

Disneyland Paris unveils new concept art and details for the transformation of Disney Village. The shopping, dining and entertainment area between the Disney theme parks and the Disney Hotels is undergoing a true metamorphosis. The transformation, which has been underway for some time, is in full swing and will take place in phases over the course of this year.

New shop concepts

One of the most important aspects of the transformation is the introduction of new store concepts. For example, the former Disney Fashion Jr. store is currently being transformed into the Disney Home Store, where guests can shop for unique Disney-themed home accessories. The Disney Fashion and Disney Gallery stores are closing their doors in May and will be merged into one store, the Disney Lifestyle Store, with an extensive assortment of clothing, jewelry and accessories.

Disney Wonders

The eye-catcher of the transformation will undoubtedly be the Disney Wonders store. This brand new retail concept, located in the former Disney Store, will act as a “flagship” hub store, where guests can find merchandise from all popular Disney franchises, such as Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar. The store will also offer a seasonal assortment in line with resort celebrations or the latest Disney movie releases.

Existing shops

In addition to the new shop concepts, existing shops will also be renovated. The LEGO Store Disney Village will get a fresh update, in which the interior will be refreshed and a new photo point will be added along the outside. New LEGO sculptures will also be on display in the shop.

The popular Sports Bar will also be renovated and revamped, retaining its existing charm. Annette's Diner retains its current theme and remains a popular spot for burgers and milkshakes in the 1950s “Happy Days” atmosphere. And the waiters on roller skates remain, too!

Modern look

The transformation of Disney Village goes beyond new stores. The facades of the buildings will be renovated to create a modern and inviting look. The renovated facades will bring a fresh and contemporary feel to the area and provide a seamless transition between the Disney theme parks and the Disney Hotels.

All new shop concepts in Disney Village will open by the end of 2024. The Disney Wonders shop will open later, the exact date is not yet known.
