Good news for those who enjoy spending time on the shores of Lake Disney! The iconic Disney Sequoia Lodge is set to undergo an ambitious transformation, which will begin in 2026.
Following the recent reopenings of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and the completely renovated Disneyland Hotel, Disneyland Paris is now announcing a major makeover for this 1,010-room hotel.
The Disney Sequoia Lodge, Inspired by the lodges in American National Parks and located in a natural setting full of pine trees and sequoias, after renovation it will become a unique destination where the beauty of nature and the forest animals from Disney animated films take centre stage.
Large-scale refurbishment

Starting in 2026, extensive renovations will take place to enhance and enrich the experience at Disney Sequoia Lodge. The authentic and warm wooden atmosphere that guests have cherished since 1992 will be preserved, but the layout of the interior spaces will be redesigned from floor to ceiling. This will result in a fresh, more modern look with more natural light. The new design pays even greater homage to nature, inspired by the forests, in the tradition of Walt Disney and his animation team. Every space, from the rooms to the lobby and the dining and shopping facilities, will be redesigned as a tribute to the flora and fauna, a perfect environment for relaxation.
Broader theme with many Disney characters
An important aspect of the transformation is the theme of the landscape and forest animals. While subtle references to Bambi can still be found in the rooms, this will evolve into a broader theme that embraces many Disney characters from both classic and more recent forest films. These characters will be integrated into the various experiences of the hotel in a creative and thoughtful way. Respect for nature and sustainability also play a role, with careful selection of building materials to minimise the impact on the environment.
The hotel will remain open during the phased renovation work, which will commence in 2026.
