Disneyland Paris to get its own Lion King world

Disneyland Paris announced big news today during the D23 event in Anaheim: a completely new themed area based on the world-famous film ‘The Lion King’. This will be the first attraction and immersive environment based on this Disney classic within a Disney park anywhere in the world.

The new themed area takes visitors on an adventurous journey through the African savannah. Visitors can come face to face with Simba, Timon, Pumbaa and other iconic characters from the film. A new water attraction brings Simba's story to life, as visitors pass under the impressive Pride Rock and follow the young lion's adventure.

In addition to the attraction, the new area also offers shops, restaurants and meeting places with Disney characters. It will be a unique experience for young and old alike.

Construction of the new The Lion King themed area will commence next year, although an opening date has not yet been announced.
