During Destination D23, the official gathering of the Disney Fan Club in Florida, Disneyland Paris released more details about two ongoing projects: the royal transformation of the Disneyland Hotel and the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park.
Royal transformation of Disneyland Hotel
The interior is being unveiled for the first time: the Disneyland Hotel, located at the entrance to Disneyland Park, will reopen in the first quarter of 2024 after a complete royal transformation. Thomas Muller, set designer for Walt Disney Imagineering, takes us to the construction site of what will become the ultimate royal Disney address. The majestic lobby and elegant Rotunda are on display. The tour also offers a first glimpse of The Royal Banquet, where guests are invited to a royal feast amidst a gallery of paintings of countless Disney royal families, including famous chefs such as Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove or Chef Louis from The Little Mermaid!
Upon reopening, the Disneyland Hotel will be the first Disney hotel to invite guests to celebrate Disney royalty in all its diversity, part of a majestic journey through time and the stories that make Disney so successful. Keep an eye out for more updates about the Disneyland Hotel on 12 September!

Frozen expansion
Another major project taking shape every day at Walt Disney Studios Park is the future area inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen, located on the edge of a large central lake. Beyond the cranes and construction equipment deployed for this development, the kingdom of Arendelle is clearly beginning to take shape. On one side of the lake, work has begun on the rock structures, and construction of the Art Nouveau-style table service restaurant has also started, as can be seen in this video.

The Disneyland Hotel and the Frozen expansion represent only part of the overall transformation that Disneyland Paris is currently undergoing.
New experiences will soon be offered at the theme parks: Ahsoka will be part of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, starting next spring, and Asha, the heroine of the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film Wish, will also be coming to Disneyland Paris soon. And with Disney Village set to completely reinvent itself in the coming years, alongside new shows to be introduced in 2024, not to mention the unprecedented expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park, Walt Disney's philosophy resonates more than ever with: “We have only just begun!”.
