Disney+ has released the new trailer and poster for Inside Out 2, the long-awaited sequel to the popular 2015 Pixar film. The film, which will be released in cinemas on 19 June 2024, takes us back into the mind of teenager Riley, where we meet a brand new cast of emotions.
A teenage adolescence full of emotions
In Inside Out 2, Riley finds herself in the turbulent period of her teenage years. Her familiar emotions Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust are confronted with a newcomer: Insecurity. This chaotic and energetic emotion ensures that Riley is constantly prepared for the worst.
New emotions in the spotlight
But Uncertainty isn't the only newcomer. We also meet Jealousy, Ennui and Shyness. Each of these emotions brings its own unique perspective on the teenage years, with all their ups and downs.
Cast
The original voice cast of Inside Out returns, with Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Tony Hale, and Liza Lapira. Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Paul Walter Hauser join them as the new emotions.
Direction
‘Inside Out 2 is directed by Kelsey Mann in her directorial debut. Mark Nielsen is producing the film, with Andrea Datzman as composer.
